Becoming an Outdoors Woman-Scouting WMA's

Event Description
In this class, we will explore a Wildlife Management Area. Participants will learn to identify game trails and discover how to properly set up a pop-up blind or climbing stand. We'll also discuss using downed trees as cover for deer hunting. We will also learn about other types of wildlife, such as squirrels.
More Information
The primary focus of this program is to familiarize participants with the WMA before the archery season begins; however, the activities will not be limited to archery alone, as there are many other options available on the WMA. Please be sure to wear pants and closed-toe shoes; if you own them, snake boots are recommended. Please bring water, it will be warm. If you have a bow, please bring it along, as we will have the opportunity to practice at the range on the WMA after the program concludes.
