Event Description

Hunter Education is a 10-hour, instructor-led and hands-on demonstration class that develops safe, responsible, and knowledgeable hunters. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1969, is required to have taken and passed state approved a Hunter Education Safety Course in order to be legal to hunt in the State of Arkansas.

  • Students must attend all ten hours to become certified.

Classroom

Anyone born after 1968 must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card to hunt in Arkansas. There is no specific age requirement to enroll in hunter education. However, the educational material is based on a sixth-grade reading level. 

All materials will be provided and an hour lunch break will be given. Individuals are on their own for lunch. Everyone who is taking the test must register.
