Beginning Kayaking

Event Description

Participants will learn introductory kayak skills, such as the difference between sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks, basic paddle strokes, what basic equipment to bring on a kayak float trip, and how to load and unload a kayak, all about life jackets and other safety considerations, etc. We'll spend time on flat water practicing our basic paddling skills.

Join AGFC on Wells Lake! This program is weather permitting, please contact the Nature Center the morning of the event to ensure it has not been cancelled (501-710-6285).

Enjoy time paddling on wells lake in canoes or kayaks. All equipment is provided as well as safety instruction before you get out on the water. All children must be accompanied and all participants must wear their provided life jacket.
