Through our School of Conservation Leadership Program, AGFC is working to increase conservation education, outdoor learning and outdoor recreation opportunities for students in Arkansas and to increase awareness of conservation careers and inspire the next generation of conservation professionals

In this session, we will focus on the specific requirements of a GIS project for your campus.  We will learn the ins and outs of storytelling with maps and get your kids looking at conservation from a different perspective. We will introduce educators to geographic information systems as a classroom tool: reading and building map layers, using spatial data to frame inquiry, and integrating mapping into existing science and social studies instruction.
