Muzzleloading Basics: Blackpowder Basics

Muzzleloading Basics: Blackpowder Basics

Event Description

We will be learning the basics of blackpowder firearms.

More Information

Blackpowder firearms are an important part of history and conservation. They also add an extra challenge for modern day hunters. AGFC added straight walled cartridges to what was typically the muzzleloading season and we now have an alternative firearms season. While this is a great way to get more hunters out there that may not want to deal with muzzleloaders, in order to complete your triple trophy award, you still need to harvest a deer with archery, muzzleloader, and rifle. Come join us to appreciate these traditional firearms and how they work. In addition to learning about them, we will also be shooting them.

This class is for people ages 12 and up.
