Event Description

Join AGFC Private Lands Habitat staff as we discuss the importance of prescribed fire. Upon completion, participants will be a Qualified Prescribed Burner according to Act 695 and meet the requirements for civil liability protections.

More Information

This workshop is to certify landowners as Qualified Prescribed Burners per ACT 695. This is a 5 day/night course. Days 1-4 will be 2 hours of classroom instruction where we cover topics such as fire ecology, fire weather, fire techniques, fire tools, etc. Day 5 will be an outdoor live fire demonstration. Participation is required so dress accordingly.

After passing this class, you'll receive the following certification(s):
