Event Description

To become a certified Hunter Education instructor, you will need to meet with one of our trainers.

This class is to get you certified to teach hunter's ed and boater's ed. You will need to have taken the hunter ed and/or boater ed course before qualifying to be an instructor. You will also need to sign up as a volunteer with AGFC. This requires a background check (or letterhead from your place of employment stating you've had a background check in the past 5 years) and a release form. Both of these can be found in the volunteer portal where you can download them and upload them.

Once you are signed up as a volunteer, you will need to apply to become an instructor for the course or courses you want to teach. This options will show up in that volunteer portal after to apply to be a volunteer.

Please have this completed before coming to the class.
