Beginning Kayaking: Women's Kayak Fishing

Event Description

Participants will learn introductory kayak skills, such as the difference between sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks, basic paddle strokes, what basic equipment to bring on a kayak float trip, and how to load and unload a kayak, all about life jackets and other safety considerations, etc. We'll spend time on flat water practicing our basic paddling skills.

Participants 16 years and older are invited to participate in this event. Participants must have a valid Arkansas Fishing License and register for this event. Please register by emailing kendra.ingle@agfc.ar.gov. This event will take place at Blue Mountain Lake.
