Event Description

In this class, students will learn the identifying characteristics of the most common snakes in Arkansas, including the venomous ones! Every indigenous animal plays an important role in the ecosystem, and students will learn to respect and admire--from a safe distance--these important reptiles.

Arkansas is home to 36 different species of native snakes. These animals are extremely important to our ecosystems, but are also very misunderstood. Join us in the auditorium to learn more about these amazing reptiles, how to identify them, what to do if you find one while outdoors, and so much more! Registration is recommended.
