Event Description

Learn the equipment needed for a kayak fishing trip and how to load your boat. We will have kayaks and fishing gear available. This class will not be teaching kayaking, only methods for fishing from a kayak. Basic paddling skills are required. A valid Arkansas Fishing License is required. Please dress appropriately to be on the water.

More Information

This event is for students at the Arkansas Tech University. This free event will include basic fishing information, fish habitat information, and insight into fishing from a kayak. We will be paddling Illinois Bayou, putting in at Pleasant View Park. All participants must have a valid Arkansas fishing license which can be purchased here. All of the equipment and instruction will be provided by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. If you have your own kayak and fishing equipment you are allowed to bring it and you still need to pre-register.
