Event Description

Traditional and Non-Traditional Educators are all welcome to attend this professional development workshop that uses Fishing as a vehicle for learning. The Fishing In the Natural State program's primary focus is on 4th-12th-grade students, but it can be adjusted for other ages as well. After completing the 6hr professional development and returning a filled application, the educator will receive a curriculum containing 8 Units and an educator's kit to assist with teaching the lessons. The curriculum covers subjects such as Fish ID, Fish Anatomy, Aquatic Habitats, and Human Impact through Science, Math, Art, and Language Arts.
