Event Description

This class is designed to familiarize you with the standard navigation rules, boating laws, boating equipment use, and best practices for safety while out on the water. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1986 is required to have taken and passed a NASBLA and state approved course in order to operate any kind of watercraft propelled by motor or sail.

More Information

This class satisfies the requirement for anyone born on or after January 1, 1986, that is interested in operating a motorboat, PWC, or sailboat in Arkansas. Participants must attend the full six-hour (6) course and pass the final exam to earn their Boaters Ed card. 

This class begins precisely at 9 AM and will run until around 4 PM. Please arrive early and be prepared for a long day. 

A break for lunch will be provided, however, the drive to town will cut into your lunch time. Please plan to bring lunch or have plans to have lunch at the park. A refrigerator and microwave will be accessible; also plan to bring snacks and drinks for the day. 

There are NO COSTS to the students to take the Boater Education Class.

Please check your schedule to be sure you can attend this class. If you do register and cannot attend please go to the class event and cancel. It is important that you cancel online as we may have a full class.
