Event Description

This class is designed to familiarize you with the standard navigation rules, boating laws, boating equipment use, and best practices for safety while out on the water. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1986 is required to have taken and passed a NASBLA and state approved course in order to operate any kind of watercraft propelled by motor or sail.

After passing this class, you'll receive the following certification(s):

Event Requirements

  • Participants must pass a test to receive a Boater Education card.

    • Max Age: 100

Classroom for 60 people.
Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1986, and of legal age to operate a motorboat or sailboat, must have successfully completed an approved AGFC Boating Education Course and carry proof while operating a motorboat or sailboat on Arkansas water. An hour lunch break will be given. All supplies will be provided.
